Using Tubular Heaters

Tubular heaters are perfect for a massive range of applications. However how do you know when it is right to use a tubular heater? Tubular heater are by far the most highly versatile type of heater available on the market today, with a huge range of uses, the tubular heater has a place in every home and office.

Tubular heaters can be found in very obscure and interesting places. Due to the small size but impressive power of tubular heaters they can also be used in very unique applications. One of the most interesting uses of a tubular heater was the use of a series of one foot tubular heaters inside a filtering cupboard to melt honey. By using the tubular heater they could use the small versatile size to bank the heaters inside the cupboard easy and the high power output to melt the honey at a steady pace.

Tubular heaters work by producing a warm blanket of upward rising air; this is the main reason why they are to be used horizontally. Everything over the heater is given the benefit of the constant heat from the tubular heater. This means less heat wasted by been pushed down and it is very easy to position the tubular heater where you need the heat.

One of the most versatile uses of a tubular heater is inside a pool filter. Pool filters can suffer from frost making the pipes and filter break or become un-operational. By using a tubular heater you can maintain the heat and thus the temperature of internal works of the pool filter. Inside an enclosed space the heat reflects of the inside walls filled the space with heat. Inside a small pool filter with an added thermostat this is more than enough to ensure long life and use.

The tubular heaters can also be used to warm a centralised spot. One application of tubular heaters saw them been used under snooker and pool tables. By using s tubular heater the full length of the pool or snooker table they could heat the players around the table and keep the internal workings of the tables in full functional order.

The tubular heaters have also been used in reptile enclosures. With a steady stream of heat and a choice of colours they are perfect for maintaining tropical or reptilian animals. Easy to fit and zero maintenance tubular heaters are ideal for inside an animal enclosure, it is advices however that for animal enclosures you use a cage around the heat for protecting the animal.

Not only reptiles have felt the comfort of the tubular heaters, dog kennels has always been in need of heating for the colder times of year and day. With a cage the tubular heater is perfect for inside the kennel.

The final two most common applications of the tubular heater are inside airing cupboards or to keep away moisture inside the home or office and for inside greenhouses. Tubular heaters are perfect for using inside greenhouses; with their low profile and ease of use they are ideal for any greenhouse.

Tubular Heater

Today we get to test the Thermotube by Thermoproducts. The Thermotube is a Tubular Heater designed for background heat and general low cost heating applications. The Thermotube boast been a flexible Tubular Heater, having the advantage of been able to contact the manufacturer we have been able to find out as much about the tubular heater and its uses.

First we tested the Tubular Heater, we had a small cupboard that was prone to building up damp water on the back wall. We were advised that the Tubular Heater would stop this damp build up and keep the cupboard warm. Will a few towels in the cupboard and a water heater we left the cupboard for four hours. In which normally the cupboard would be damp as well as the towels. We were surprised to not only find the back wall dry but the cupboard warm. The towels were not damp and the room was very warm.

Frankly we did not believe such a small low cost tubular heater would be capable of such heating power. Having tested tubular heaters in the past we found them to be unreliable and often fragile. However the Thermotube tubular heater is strong and durable.

Also with this review we had the opportunity to meet with the manufacturer (Thermoproducts). One of things we found out about this tubular heater is the massive range of uses it has. Where as many tubular heaters claim to be versatile and flexible there is often very little backing. However with the Thermotube we were able to see some of the past customers and how they used their tubular heater. A few of the favorites we found were the bee keepers. Two different bee keepers in the UK required a low cost heater to heat a small container to melt down honey for filtering. Both used a range of tubular heaters to melt the honey so it could be filtered with a low cost. Some of interesting uses range from pool rooms having the heaters under the tables to improve the comfort of the room and even boat owners looking to keep away frost on the core parts of the boat.

We found the day visit very interesting and would recommend the tubular heater by Thermoproducts. Low cost and easy to use, we found the product a joy to use and highly reliable.
