Over the past week we have made some major developments and changes to e-tradecounter. One issue we identified from all your feedback was the product layout. Often there was too much information all displayed at once contesting for your attention. We have changed and improved our product pages to make it easier to find what you need and to see the right information. The new product pages can have up to 4 "tabs".
The new options under the email this product to a friend link are as follows Description / Overview - Complementary Products - Alternative Products - Product Reviews. The first link which is always the default to display is the description of the product. Next we have moved the “Goes great with” section of related products to the complementary products tab. Also in this tab we now show the price of the items. Next is the alternative products tab which displays products that are like the one you are viewing. Lastly is the product reviews that displays all reviews for that product and its current overall score.
This new change on the product pages along with our new selection method makes buying and viewing products easier than ever.
Another point that was changed was our best sellers, before this displayed the best sellers from the time the store opened to now. This was slow and often in the summer months not helpful. We have changed this to now display the best sellers in the past 7 days. This makes them far more dynamic and related to the current season.
The next major change has been the shopping basket. We have moved this up next to our logo and telephone number (as we feel they are the most important key aspects of the site.) Now the basket is always in clear view.
Other changes include the new product testimonials page, you can view all the latest product testimonials, view what product it was for, what they said and even what score they gave it. However sometimes customers email in their thanks or comments on our service, we have created a ticker style display of 15 randomly selected comments that have been emailed in from our database.
Other changes include readability changes and colour alterations. We aim to provide the best possible service for everyone and feel it our duty to ensure everyone can view and use our website. Using the latest standard of web coding and programming languages we can give a level of service like no other.
Other improvements on the website include creating faster loading pages. We set ourselves a goal to ensure our pages are not only fast loading but provide you the right information when you need it. Such demands have meant more precise queries on our end to give you the right information faster and with greater interactivity.
We would also like to welcome on some new manufacturers, we are currently expanding the product range we have on offer, adding new products every day. We will have more on the new manufacturers as time develops.
